Customer Readiness for a Network Cabling Installation!

Complimentary Site Survey

Whether you reach out via our toll free line (877-832-1206) or by our website’s contact form, any network cabling projects are provided with a complimentary site survey* to get all the details of your install nailed down. Prior to one of our estimators visiting your job site, they will need to obtain a scope of work and a map of your location indicating where any of your end locations and MDF/IDF are. This includes data, voice, access points, cameras, fiber, etc. After the site survey, you will be provided with a custom proposal reviewing the scope of work, materials, and costs. Along with the proposal you may also receive an updated rough copy of your network map for review. (Fun fact: All of our proposals provide you with an option to donate to a charity at no additional cost to you!) After returning a signed version of your proposal, a digital install map will be created for your final approval. In addition, you will be provided with further pre-scheduling documents to ensure a flawless network cabling installation.

*Please note that site surveys are not performed for service tickets. However, if Operations determines that one is required it is at an extra cost and is not a part of our complimentary program.

Getting Scheduled With a 5-Star Crew

Whether it’s a contract project or a commercial/residential service ticket, our Operations team will reach out to you to get you officially scheduled and locked in with the best network cabling crew to fit your needs.

Choosing Your Right Person to Handle Your Installation

The Bridge Cable team will set up everything for success on our end, but it is CRUCIAL that you ensure the same on your end as well. If you are not the onsite contact that our install team will encounter, be sure to provide the person’s name and telephone number. In addition, provide a back up contact, even if you are the main contact. This helps avoid any issues if the contact is not available via phone if not onsite. One of the most important factors is to make sure that the job site is aware that our crew is coming, and what for. Lastly, be sure to provide an email address and contact for where any invoices would be sent (see “Payment Information” below).

Ensuring Accessibility

Be sure that no matter who the onsite contact is, if they are responsible for providing access to our network cabling install team, they must arrive prior to our crew arriving. Otherwise, please provide detailed instructions on how our team can gain entry without a physical being. Whoever is selected as the physical onsite contact must have the ability to allow our crews full access to any area where work needs to be done and to any IT areas (closet, MDF, IDF, etc.). Any delays caused by (but not limited to) no access, misinformation, or cancellations, may result in additional charges. The most important factor that most of our clients forget is to ensure that you have permission from the property manager to complete the network cabling install.

The Day of the Install

Whether it is a commercial or residential property, please try to secure parking and an unloading area for our crew. Prior to arrival, move anything that may be impeding the installation. In addition, it is important to cover any electronics. While our network cabling installers maintain a clean environment, it is vital to take an extra step to ensure this. Be sure to clear any walkways and ensure that any children and/or pets are kept away from the work areas. Prior to any work beginning, our lead network cabling installer will perform a walkthrough with you to discuss the services and possible pathways*. One factor that may be forgotten is that if your building requires plenum cabling, no other cables may be installed.

*Please note, sometimes the only pathway available would require holes to be drilled. If this is the case, we do not perform any patching. If any wire mold or conduit would like to be used (if possible) please advise the scheduling team prior.

Quality Assurance

Our crews ensure that we leave your property as if we were never there – as clean as a whistle! Prior to our departure, our network cabling crews are instructed to take pictures of the install areas and the final product. Our lead technician performs cabling certifications for all wires and ensures that each is passing status. You will be sent a digital install map when invoiced, if applicable.

Payment Information

Contract Work: Upon completion of the project, you will be sent an invoice via our Quickbooks system. You are then able to pay electronically through the system or send a check to our listed mailing address.
