Door Access Control Install and Programming Specialist

Monday – Friday (8 hour shifts)

Pay Rate
$25.00 to $28.00 per hour
Responsibilities
- Lead a team to install from start to finish door access control systems across various brands
- Install access control readers, mag locks, strikes etc.
- Program the system for complete setup
- Program the system’s keyless entry options (key fob, key card, code, biometrics etc.)
- Troubleshoot any errors and/or outages across various brands
- Execute daily and project close deliverables
- Assist in cross training existing and future team members
- Bringing all personal tools and gear at the beginning of your shift to ensure you are prepared for all challenges, ladders included.
- Identifying potential change order opportunities and documenting accordingly
- Identifying any potential delays or project needs consisting but not limited to needed gear, man power change, map changed or other trade delays/deadlines
- Adapting to different clientele and job environment changes day to day
- Presenting yourself in a professional and clean manner both physically and verbally
- Identifying your teams strength and weaknesses to properly delegate tasks daily
- Taking accountability for not only your individual work but the work of your team
- Reflecting customer service skills to the end client when applicable
- Must follow Bicsi Standards
- Daily use of drill, grinder, multitool and Dremel
- Must draw wiring maps for components that consist of but not limited to power supply, controller, card reader, exit button and maglock
Qualifications
- Valid Driver’s License AND Reliable Vehicle
- Ability to go up and down ladders
- Ability to lift, bend, push, pull etc up to 50 lbs
- Ability to pass pre-employment screening requirements
- Ability to work at fully extended height on lifts (scissor/boom)
- Experience in composition cable, 18/2, 22/6 and CAT6/5e
- Experience in large installs of at least 50+ cables
- Experience in data and voice CAT6 installations.
- Conduit Bending Must supply your own cordless drill and hand tools
- Must be authorized to work in the US
- Ability to travel with a 6ft ladder
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment
- Has understanding of electrical theory and schematics
- Must be teachable and willing to learn all aspects of low voltage and expanding your knowledge
